At New York's Columbia University Institute for Cancer Genetics Professor Riccardo Dalla-Favera and his team investigate the origin and the development of lymphoma. This group of scientists operates within a new medical field known as Personalized Medicine or Genome Medicine. Their challenge to understand the genetic profile of a complex disease caused by the interaction of multiple gene mutations. Their mission to create non-destructive alternatives to chemo therapy and radiation based treatments.
